I always thought Goodwill was a nonprofit organization that collected donations and operated stores. Is Goodwill Industries the same company?

Goodwill Industries of North Georgia is the sister organization to Goodwill of North Georgia. We specialize in janitorial, grounds maintenance and operations and maintenance of mechanical systems.

Goodwill of North Georgia operates donation centers and stores across the region. The sale of these items help fund a variety of job training programs and placement services. I never knew Goodwill Industries was in the janitorial business. How long has Goodwill Industries been providing these services?

Goodwill Industries of North Georgia has been in the commercial janitorial business for nearly three decades. We’ve grown from a small staff to a workforce of more than 230 employees. We are proud to have earned a number of contracts, many of which we have held for over 10 years.

We strive to be the best solution for our customers and therefore will develop a program based on our customers needs.


Green cleaning is important to me. Does Goodwill Industries have a green cleaning program?

Yes. Goodwill Industries practices green cleaning and uses environmentally friendly products and equipment. Additionally, because we are members of several industry-related organizations, we stay abreast of new developments in green cleaning. Click here to learn more about our janitorial services.


What type of training does your staff receive?

All of our staff undergoes extensive classroom and on-the-job training before they are put to work. We also require our full-time employees to attend more than 70 hours training every year.

We take training seriously and have staff who a dedicated to delivering training and testing employees on competency. Our management staff also takes additional training and many have earned their Housekeeping Management certification.


Do your employees wear uniforms?

Yes. We know it is important for our customers to recognize the people entering their facilities. Having a uniformed staff allows them to easily recognized and ensures that our employees project a professional image.

In most cases, our employees also wear a facility-issued identification badge while on the job.
