Goodwill Industries’ Quality Commitment
Goodwill Industries of North Georgia’s (GING) commitment to quality is driven by its Quality Policy, which states:
"Goodwill’s quality policy demands continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, employee involvement and sound business practices. Our focus is to meet or exceed customer expectations by providing reliable and cost effective service. Every employee is directly responsible for following Goodwill's quality management system.”
Our objectives are focused on outcomes that are reflective of the quality policy. We measure the number of customer-driven suggestions that we have implemented, the number of employees that have passed training tests with a score of 70% or higher, the number of complaints received, and the number of complaints resolved. All of these measures are designed to continuously improve the level of customer satisfaction.
Our Environmental Commitment
In addition to ensuring we maintain a high level of quality, Goodwill Industries is committed to reducing our impact on the environment. Because we have a certified environmental management system, our work is audited regularly by a third party.
Our environmental policy:
“It is the policy of Goodwill Industries of North Georgia, Inc. to be constantly aware of the effects on the environment when accomplishing contractual requirements. All federal, state, and local laws and ordinances will be strictly observed. Where appropriate, non-hazardous materials, environmentally preferred products, recycling programs, as well as a “common sense” approach will be utilized at all times. Goodwill will audit its processes and procedures with all relevant parties to ensure continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS). This policy is communicated to all employees of Goodwill and made available to any public entity.”
Sure, having an environmental management system is good for our customers and in many cases reduces expenses, but moreover, it’s just the right thing to do!
